I am a family photographer anxious to tell your story. Yes, you! I want to show you how beautiful you are. How beautiful your life is even though it may seem like it's messy and loud and really, really hard sometimes. But I would love to show you what I see when I look at you. *Spoiler alert* All good things.
About Katy
I adore books.
A library or bookstore is my happy place. I love old books...really old books whose covers have been worn thin and pages are slightly yellowed and brittle (I know I'm crazy). I like knowing that other people--many others--have gone on this same journey and have probably felt the same things as I have. I feel connected to the community of the author and their readers.
I'm drawn to people's stories.
When I was younger my parents would have friends or relatives over and I would sit curled up on the couch, captivated by their stories. I love to hear my mom and her sister reminisce about growing up--how things were so different but still so similar. It made me feel even more connected to them.
Because of this I am passionate about telling my story. Not for me--but for my kids and their kids too.
Taking a picture and saving it on a computer is the first step, but it will be lost if not curated among others in a book. And years from now that dusty book will be pulled down from a shelf and shared. It will reveal the best story of all--the story of where they came from and the people that loved them. And I want your family to have these treasured heirlooms too.

A one hour family, newborn, or senior session in a location of your choice. Includes all of your digital files and a print release.

The Storytelling Session

This is a 2 hour documentary session that tells the story of your family at this point in your history, saving forever a gapped-tooth smile, pudgy cheeks, or the way their little hands fit into yours. The relaxed session takes place in your home or another loved location. I will then choose the best photographs from your session and hand process the images and design your beautiful photo book. You will also receive your digital files along with the printing rights and a short video.

Legacy Session

This is a 6 hour session that will capture a day in the life of your family. My focus is to authentically portray your story and will take place in your home or wherever the day takes us (soccer practice, music lessons, grocery shopping). This session will forever preserve the beauty of the hustle and bustle of your daily life. It includes a beautiful photo book that can be cherished for generations, your digital files along with printing rights and a short video.
